Tropicalia — The Mango Routes

Tropicalia 2025: The Fifth Edition

The fifth edition of Tropicalia — The Mango Routes was held in Balestrate, in the province of Palermo, from August 27 to 31, 2025, with free admission. The event was promoted by the Municipality of Balestrate together with the Pro Loco, the Terre delle Balestrate cooperative, and the III Millennio association, with the patronage of the University of Palermo and the contribution of the Regional Department for Productive Activities and Tourism and the GAL Golfo di Castellammare.

The Program

On August 27 and 28, guided tours of mango orchards were held by the Terre delle Balestrate cooperative. On August 29, in the council chamber, the conference "Tropical Sicily and New Development Opportunities" by the University of Palermo took place, followed by a cooking show by Giusina in Cucina, music, and tastings. On August 30, the masterclasses "Tropical Drinks" and "Tropical Desserts" (Tech4Bev project by Unipa and Idimed) were held, along with street music by Ottoni Animati. The grand finale was on August 31 with the Summer Carnival, a parade of floats, dance troupes, Brazilian dancers, and the band Obsession.
