The great horse fair in Travagliato
Travagliato Cavalli is one of the most important equestrian events in Italy, held every year in Travagliato, a municipality in the province of Brescia on the edge of Franciacorta. For four days, the Municipal Sports Centre and the town's spaces host exhibitors, riders, breeders, and thousands of visitors, in a celebration that blends high-level sports competitions, shows, and education.
Sport, races, and disciplines
The sports program is very rich and mainly takes place at the Palacittà : Team Penning, Working Cow Horse, Ranch Sorting, Western Gymkhana, Mountain Trail, Doma Vaquera, and classical training, carriage driving sports, and the international competition dedicated to the Arabian horse. Travagliato Cavalli is also a stop on national circuits and hosts western and working disciplines, with the presence of the Maremma cowboys.
Show and entertainment
Alongside sport, the fair offers great entertainment. The Iberian Show features Pure Spanish and Lusitano horses, while the evening gala, directed by Umberto Scotti, brings together top artists in a succession of acts and emotions. There is also equestrian cabaret, country music, and line dancing, in an atmosphere that engages enthusiasts and the curious alike.
A celebration for the whole family
Travagliato Cavalli is also designed for children: saddle baptism, educational workshops, a farm with donkeys and ponies, and a large exhibition area with equestrian equipment, clothing, and home products. Four on-site restaurants complete the offering. The event is traditionally preceded by a parade of carriages and riders through the streets of the centre of Brescia, announcing its opening in the city.
Travagliato Horses — edition 2026
The 44th edition of Travagliato Cavalli brings to Travagliato (Brescia), from April 30 to May 3, 2026, four days of sport, show, and equestrian culture, with a particular focus on inclusion and animal welfare encapsulated in the slogan "In the heart of everyone".
The sports program, mainly hosted at the Palacittà , includes Team Penning, Working Cow Horse, Ranch Sorting, Western Gymkhana, Mountain Trail (MASAF 2026 stage), the international Arabian horse competition (ECHAO), Doma Vaquera, classical training, and carriage driving sports. On the show front, the Iberian Show with Pure Spanish and Lusitano horses, the "Emozioni" gala directed by Umberto Scotti, and equestrian cabaret, with country music and line dancing.
