Translation and Peregrinatio of the Madonna di Casaluce

The 2025 edition confirmed one of the oldest and most deeply felt religious traditions in the Caserta area. On June 15, 2025, the Byzantine icon of the Madonna di Casaluce departed in procession for Aversa, where it remained for about four months, animating the city's spiritual life. On October 15, 2025, the image returned to its Sanctuary in Casaluce: around 12:30 PM, the exchange of the canopy was renewed at the boundary stone near the Abbey of San Lorenzo, with the passing of the mantle between the two communities. Alongside the processions, the festival included liturgical celebrations, cultural events, and moments of popular sharing, involving the entire municipality of Casaluce and nearby Aversa in a renewed journey of faith.
