Traditional Food Festival

In 2025, Cibi della Tradizione did not yet have a public edition: the event debuted in May 2026 in Castel San Giovanni (PC). However, the year preceding the first edition was fundamental for its genesis. In Val Tidone, work was done on the rediscovery of the black-eyed bean, a historic legume of the Castellano area, with the first local farms committed to resuming its cultivation. In parallel, the Pro Loco of Castel San Giovanni, together with the Pro Loco of Pecorara and Langhirano, built a territorial network between the Provinces of Piacenza and Parma, within the regional project Il Valore Sei Tu promoted by UNPLI Emilia-Romagna. From this process, the first edition of the event in the park of Villa Braghieri Albisani was born the following year.
