Tortellata di San Giovanni

The 2025 edition of the Tortellata di San Giovanni celebrated its 60th anniversary, confirming itself as one of the most beloved events in the village of Montechiarugolo, in the province of Parma. The dinner was held on Monday, June 23rd, in the streets of the historic center, at the foot of the castle.

As tradition dictates, the herb tortelli were prepared with the classic filling — herbs, ricotta, Parmigiano Reggiano, nutmeg — and served with butter and grated Parmigiano. The evening came alive with music and dancing, in a festive atmosphere that drew residents and visitors under the late June sky.
