New Year's Eve in the square in Porto Recanati, with live music, DJ sets, and a midnight toast
On New Year's Eve, Porto Recanati, a lively seaside town in the province of Macerata in the Marche region, celebrates the arrival of the new year with "Ti Porto...Capodanno", the open-air party that enlivens Piazza Fratelli Brancondi, the square overlooking the seafront. The event, promoted by the Municipal Administration, is part of the "Insieme รจ Natale" (Together it's Christmas) festive program and is one of the most popular winter events in the town.
The free-entry evening begins in the late evening and continues until the early hours of the morning. The program alternates between live concerts and DJ sets, with a succession of music, animation, and entertainment designed to engage the entire square, from families to young people. The music ranges from great Italian hits to dance anthems of recent decades, in a shared festive atmosphere under the town's lights.
The highlight of the evening is the stroke of midnight: the crowd gathered in the square jointly welcomes the new year with the traditional toast, accompanied by sparkling wine and panettone offered by the Municipality of Porto Recanati. A gesture of welcome that renews the community spirit of the celebration and transforms New Year's Eve into a collective moment of good wishes.
Overlooking the Adriatic Sea at the foot of Monte Conero, Porto Recanati combines its tourist vocation as a seaside resort with the tradition of Marche village festivals. Piazza Brancondi, with its proximity to the sea and the town center, is the natural setting for major city events: in summer, it hosts concerts and shows, while in winter, it becomes the meeting point for the year-end toast. Participating in "Ti Porto...Capodanno" means experiencing the authenticity of a Marche community that opens its doors to residents and visitors to celebrate together.
The edition that bid farewell to 2026 took place on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, in Piazza Fratelli Brancondi, starting at 10:30 PM, with free admission.
The evening opened with a live concert by the trio Aglio, Olio & Peperoncino โ Marco Martellini (guitar and vocals), Matteo Tordini (bass), and Luca Ventura (drums), with backing vocalists Georgia Pulcini and Veronica Saccoccio โ who performed a repertoire built on medleys of great Italian hits. This was followed by the "Forever '90-2000" format with a DJ set by Gianmarco Angeletti, special voice Lele Giuli, and the participation of Eddy Masterjoy, dedicated to dance music and hits from recent decades.
At the stroke of midnight, the audience toasted the new year with sparkling wine and panettone offered by the Municipality. The event was organized by the Municipal Administration with coordination by Isolani Spettacoli.
By car: Porto Recanati is accessible from the A14 motorway, exit Porto Recanati-Loreto, a few minutes from the center. By train: Porto Recanati station is on the Adriatic line Ancona-Pescara. Piazza Fratelli Brancondi is located in the heart of the city, a short distance from the seafront.
The event is free admission. For New Year's Eve, the Municipality issues an ordinance for safety: prohibition of the sale of drinks in glass containers and take-away cans, with the use of only biodegradable cups. Appropriate clothing for winter temperatures is recommended.
