A widespread festival across the neighborhoods of Centuripe

Thursdays in the Neighborhoods is a summer festival born in Centuripe, a charming village in the hinterland of the Province of Enna, in the heart of Sicily. The initiative offers a series of itinerant evenings that, Thursday after Thursday, visit the different districts of the town: an original way to rediscover the sense of community and to experience public space in a convivial way, far from tourist traps and close to the authentic identity of the Centuripe area.

Conviviality and sharing

The heart of the event is sharing: each evening takes place outdoors, in a space within the host neighborhood, and revolves around a large collective buffet to which each participant contributes by bringing a homemade dish. This creates a popular banquet that becomes a symbol of hospitality and community spirit, accompanied by good food, entertainment, and moments of social interaction among neighbors, families, and visiting guests.

Six neighborhoods, six evenings

The format includes six events that cross the historic districts of Centuripe, each with its own atmosphere and traditions. The neighborhoods involved include:

• San Gioacchino

Each evening is promoted by the Municipality of Centuripe together with the Neighborhood Committees, which enthusiastically embraced the idea of taking turns to animate their own district, enhancing the small neighborhood communities that make up the fabric of the town.
