The great patronal festival of Sesto
The Month of Saint John is the main event of Sesto San Giovanni, a city in the province of Milan and the heart of northern Milan. Dedicated to the patron saint Saint John the Baptist, whose feast day is June 24th, it offers an entire month of events ranging from music to culture, from sports to traditions, organized by the Pro Loco of Sesto San Giovanni in collaboration with the municipal administration.
An itinerant and widespread format
The characteristic of The Month of Saint John is its itinerant nature: events are not concentrated in a single square but spread across different neighborhoods and historic villas of the city — from Villa Mylius to Villa Visconti d'Aragona — involving citizens of all ages. This choice enhances the city's heritage and brings the festival closer to everyone.
Music, awards, and tradition
The calendar alternates book presentations, pop and jazz concerts, guided tours, exhibitions, civic awards such as the Sesto d'Oro and the Premio Selezione Bancarella, up to the Merchants' Fair and the final Total White Party in Piazza Oldrini. The religious dimension is not forgotten, with Holy Mass in the church of San Giovanni Battista. A month that tells the soul of Sesto San Giovanni, between memory, community, and celebration.
