A festival where disharmony becomes enchantment
In Porto Recanati, a lively seaside town in the Province of Macerata overlooking the Conero Riviera, The Enchantment of Disharmony is much more than a simple summer review. It is a mini-festival dedicated to art as a means of inclusion, built around a precise and generous idea: "No One Excluded". The initiative is promoted by Ubo Teatro APS, a company and social promotion association founded in 2014 that embraces Peter Brook's lesson that "theatre does not judge: it welcomes, unites, transforms".
Art, sport, and spirituality intertwined
The festival's strength lies in bringing together different languages over a few days in June. Inclusive basketball traditionally opens the event at the "E. Medi" Sports Hall, with teams such as Attila Junior Basket, Anthropos of Civitanova Marche, and the "L'Albero Magico" centre. This is followed by theatre and comedy performances, meetings on the theme of adolescence and body image, shows for children, and musical moments that often dialogue with the city's Music Festival at the Natale Mondo Amphitheatre. The spiritual dimension is also present, coinciding with the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist, the city's patron saint.
A cultural bet for the city
More than just a calendar of events, The Enchantment of Disharmony is an educational and social project involving associations, parishes, music schools, and the Pro Loco. The goal is to ensure that disability, diversity, and fragility are not seen as a dissonance but as a new harmony: hence the festival's name. For the public, it means participating in quality performances, almost always with free admission, immersed in the summer atmosphere of Porto Recanati, between the seafront, the Swabian Castle, and local cultural sites.

The 2026 edition of The Enchantment of Disharmony is confirmed by Porto Recanati's official tourism portal, opening on Thursday, June 18, 2026. This is the fifth edition of the mini-festival conceived by Ubo Teatro APS, dedicated to art as a tool for inclusion.
As is tradition, the event is expected to span several days until June 24, intertwining inclusive basketball at the "E. Medi" Sports Hall, theatre and comedy performances, musical events at the Natale Mondo Amphitheatre, and moments of spirituality linked to the feast of the patron saint Saint John the Baptist.
