The Enchantment of Christmas in Corsico

A Month of Christmas Magic

In Corsico, a town in the province of Milan on the Naviglio Grande canal, Christmas lasts a whole month. The event series The Enchantment of Christmas enlivens the historic center from December 8th to January 6th, transforming the city's streets and squares into a large festive village with a packed calendar of free events for all ages. The organization is managed by the Municipality of Corsico together with local associations and traders.

The Tree, Lights, and Ice Rink

The official start is marked by the lighting of the large Christmas tree in Via Cavour: seven meters high, three hundred ornaments, and over four thousand LED lights, illuminated after a countdown accompanied by the music of the Musical Corps of the City of Corsico. Simultaneously, the ice skating rink opens in Piazzetta della Fontana dell'Incontro, one of the most beloved attractions for both adults and children throughout the holiday season.

Market, Concerts, and Shows

Along Via Cavour, the traditional Christmas market unfolds with artisan stalls, while Via Manzoni hosts the food court with street food, sweets, roasted chestnuts, and mulled wine offered by the Alpini. The schedule includes concerts – from big band to gospel – theater performances, magic shows, a small train through the city streets, and many activities for children, from creative workshops to puppet shows.

From Santa Claus to Befana

The heart of the enchantment is the North Pole Village with Santa's house, set up at Sala La Pianta, where children can meet Santa Claus. The event series accompanies the city until New Year's Eve, with celebrations on the ice rink, and concludes on January 6th with the arrival of Befana, featuring readings, workshops, and shows. A month of events that makes Corsico one of the liveliest Christmas destinations in the southwest of Milan.
