Teatini in Musica 2026: the program
The 2026 edition of Teatini in Musica brings the Chiostro dei Teatini in Lecce to life from Friday, July 17th to Sunday, July 19th, 2026, with concerts starting at 8:45 PM. Three evenings ranging from orchestral jazz to tango, in a journey between tradition and experimentation.
- Friday, July 17th — Open Circle by the Bud Powell Jazz Orchestra, an 18-piece ensemble directed by trumpeter and composer Simone Stefanizzi, blending orchestral jazz tradition with contemporary creativity.
- Saturday, July 18th — Gershwin Suite, a tribute to George Gershwin with Gino Saladini and the Marco Guidolotti Jazz Quartet: a show of words, images, and music retracing the life and genius of the composer.
- Sunday, July 19th — Mediterrango by the El Gauche Tango Quartet, led by bandoneonist and composer Nicolas Tognola, featuring Argentine singer Elisa Lorena: an encounter between contemporary tango and Mediterranean sounds.
The festival is produced by the Camerata Musicale Salentina in collaboration with the Municipality of Lecce, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and the Puglia Region, and with the backing of the Banca Popolare Pugliese.

Getting there
The Chiostro dei Teatini is located in the historic center of Lecce, along Via Vittorio Emanuele II, just a few steps from Piazza Sant'Oronzo. By car, you can reach the city via the Brindisi-Lecce expressway; the center is a restricted traffic zone, so it is recommended to park outside the city walls and proceed on foot. The Lecce train station is served by national and regional connections and is about a 15-minute walk from the cloister.
