Edition 2025 — Tasting the History of Beer

Following the cultural initiatives of the Pro Loco Pombia APS dedicated to the local beer heritage, the tasting and beer history evenings enlivened the Pombia Social Center, in the province of Novara. Lectures and guided tastings introduced the local public to beer culture, highlighting the town's connection to one of the oldest beer traditions in Europe.

The passion of Pombia for the history of beer stems from the extraordinary 1995 archaeological discovery in the necropolis of the Golasecca culture, where a vessel was found containing residues of a beer dating back to the 6th century BC. From this heritage, the cultural initiatives of the Pro Loco Pombia APS come to life, offering meetings at the Social Center dedicated to the storytelling and tasting of beer.

The evenings combine education and conviviality: the evolution of beer from antiquity to contemporary craft productions is retraced, with guided tastings and food pairings. An event designed for the public of the Novara area, which lays the foundations for the consolidation of the event in subsequent years.
