About Svincoli Festival
A festival for young readers
Svincoli is the festival of literature for children and adolescents in Cittadella (province of Padua). For about ten days in May, the Spazio Officina in Via del Folo becomes a meeting place for books, theatre, play, and well-being, designed for children, teenagers, and their families.
Performances, workshops, and meetings
The program combines theatrical performances (with the circus as a common thread, thanks to the Circo Patuf company), creative workshops, meetings with authors, yoga lessons for different age groups, and numerous events dedicated to schools. Among the guests of previous editions were authors and artists such as Luca Cognolato, Virginia Stefanini, Roberto Camurri, and Ilaria Perversi.
A local network
The festival was born from the collaboration between the Libreria Le Stere Bob, the Cooperativa Sociale Carovana, and Via del Folo, expressing a cultural and social network that uses children's literature as a tool for growth and community in the Alta Padovana region.
Svincoli Festival — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Svincoli Festival runs from May 21 to 31 at Spazio Officina in Via del Folo, Cittadella. The schedule is packed: the circus show "Soledad" by Circo Patuf is performed multiple times with varying times between 3:00 PM and 9:00 PM; for schools, there are workshops and meetings like "How to Invent a Story?" (Ilaria Perversi), "Furia Mascherata" (Virginia Stefanini), and "Splendeva l'innocenza" (Roberto Camurri). Open to the public are also yoga lessons (adults, children, pregnancy, teens) with Takai, discussions on educational topics, and creative workshops.

How to get there
Cittadella is served by the train station on the Padova–Bassano del Grappa line and by the SP47 Valsugana. Events mainly take place at Spazio Officina in Via del Folo.
