Emerging Design in Bovisa
SuperPlayground is Superstudio's new hub dedicated to emerging design voices, located at Superstudio Village at via Michele Pericle Negrotto 59, in Milan's Bovisa district (Municipality 9). A space of over 8,000 square meters, LEED and ISO 20121 certified, which during Milan Design Week becomes one of the most interesting stops of Fuorisalone for those seeking the design of the future.
Selected Projects from Around the World
The exhibition features a selection of projects chosen from over two hundred international applications, from more than thirty countries. Designers, studios, and collectives present works ranging from material experimentation to social design, from technological innovation to intercultural collaborations. A vibrant and pluralistic panorama, centered on research and emerging talent.
Installations and Experimentation
Among the standout projects are immersive installations exploring themes of transformation and reuse, created with reclaimed materials. SuperPlayground is not just a fair, but a laboratory where the public can experience firsthand the trends and languages of contemporary design.
Bovisa, a New Creative District
The choice of Bovisa is no coincidence: Milan's former industrial district is now one of the city's most dynamic hubs for creativity and education, home to the Polytechnic University and numerous design-related entities. SuperPlayground contributes to strengthening this identity, bringing an international event to Municipality 9 during the most important week for Milanese design.
SuperPlayground — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of SuperPlayground occupies over 8,000 square meters of Superstudio Village in Bovisa for the entire duration of Milan Design Week. The selection includes 33 projects chosen from more than 200 international applications, representing research spanning materials, technology, and social impact.
Among the notable proposals are immersive installations on the themes of transformation and reuse, such as those created with reclaimed materials. SuperPlayground continues to be a prime showcase for emerging voices in international design.
