Running to Remember

The SuperNova LaMericoRun is a non-competitive, solidarity race held in Nova Milanese, in the Province of Monza and Brianza. It was created in memory of Jean Luc Merico and Laura Picciolo, a couple who passed away prematurely, and over the years it has acquired an ever-broader meaning, becoming a moment of community and shared remembrance.

Three Distances for Everyone

The event offers routes designed for every age and level: the 10 kilometers for those who want to challenge themselves, the 5 kilometers for walkers, and the young mile of about 1.6 km dedicated to the youngest participants. The start is from the Sports Field on via Brodolini, and the official color — neon yellow — paints the streets of Nova Milanese with joy and participation.

Sport and Solidarity

The heart of the event is charity: the funds raised support associations such as the Fondazione Dottor Sorriso and the parent committees of local schools. With over a thousand participants in a single edition, the SuperNova LaMericoRun demonstrates how sport can be a powerful tool for social cohesion, bringing together runners, families, and simple supporters in a day that combines movement, remembrance, and generosity.
