Summer Festival — Varco Sabino Sheep Chop Festival

The 2025 edition of the Varco Sabino Summer Festival took place on Sunday, August 17, 2025, confirming the formula inaugurated the previous year: a unique itinerary between fried pizza tastings and the "Salli e Magna" food trail, which accompanies the historic Sheep Chop Festival (which reached its 40th edition in 2024). In the historic center of the small village in the Province of Rieti, home to the Monti Navegna e Cervia Nature Reserve, the Pro Loco served traditional Sabina dishes — pizza rentorta, lentils, cheese, pizzicotti, sausage, and grilled sheep chop — during an evening enlivened by music and conviviality, in the heart of the Ferragosto week.
