Four days of music, dancing, food, and amusement park in the heart of San Felice sul Panaro
The Summer Festival is one of the events that inaugurate the summer season in San Felice sul Panaro, a municipality in the Bassa modenese area in the province of Modena, in the heart of the Emilian plain. Organized by the Pro Loco with the patronage of the Municipality, the festival transforms the town center into a large space for socializing, where music, dancing, food, and fun intertwine for four days.
The heart of the event is Piazza Matteotti, which hosts conferences, themed evenings, and concerts. Among the highlights are an evening dedicated to the greatest hits of the '70s, '80s, and '90s with a DJ set and the final concert on Sunday. There is also the summer tombola organized by the Pro Loco in Largo Posta and the handicraft market set up along Viale Campi.
Throughout the festival, the Parco Marinai d'Italia hosts the open-air restaurant, which offers a fixed menu on the opening night and an à la carte menu on subsequent days: an opportunity to enjoy traditional Emilian dishes in good company. The amusement park set up in Piazza Ettore Piva is the hub for families and children, while the streets of the center fill with music and people until evening.
The Summer Festival is an example of the vitality of village festivals in Emilia-Romagna, where the Pro Loco and local associations keep alive the tradition of summer outdoor gatherings. More than a single event, it is a moment of community that brings together the people of San Felice and welcomes visitors from the Modenese plain, with good food, ballroom dancing, live music, and the joy of the rides.
The 2026 Summer Festival enlivens San Felice sul Panaro from Thursday, June 18 to Sunday, June 21. The program alternates cultural and entertainment moments in the town squares, centered in Piazza Matteotti, while Parco Marinai d'Italia hosts the open-air restaurant every evening and Piazza Ettore Piva the amusement park.
Among the announced events: the opening conference on Thursday with researcher Marco Buttu on the Antarctic plateau experience, the handicraft market and the summer tombola on Friday, the '70s-'80s-'90s revival evening with DJ set, and the final tribute concert on Sunday with the band The Gang. Due to the amusement park, the weekly markets on Friday and Monday are moved to Piazza Italia.
