The Strega Prize arrives in Jesolo
The Strega Tour is a series of events that brings the finalists of the Strega Prize, the most prestigious award in Italian literature, to cities across Italy. The Jesolo stop, in the province of Venice, takes place in Piazza Milano and marks the opening of the Lido's summer book review.
Finalists meet the public
During the evening, the year's Strega Prize finalists meet readers in an open dialogue, presenting their works in a crowded square. The event is curated and hosted by radio journalist Alessandra Tedesco, who also oversees the editorial direction of the Jesolo review.
Opening of Jesolo Libri
The Strega Tour precedes the Jesolo Libri. Parole e idee (Words and Ideas) festival, which in July dedicates a week of events in Piazza Milano with some of the most well-known names in Italian publishing, in free evening sessions with open admission.
Strega Tour Jesolo — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Strega Tour stops in Jesolo on Saturday, June 13th at 9:00 PM in Piazza Milano. The evening features the finalists of the Strega Prize, announced on June 3rd, who meet readers to present their works.
The event is presented by radio journalist Alessandra Tedesco, curator of the review's editorial direction. The stop opens the summer program of Jesolo Libri. Parole e idee, which will continue in July (from the 13th to the 18th) with six evenings dedicated to some of the most renowned names in Italian publishing. In case of bad weather, the meeting will be moved to the Vivaldi Theater.

How to get there
Piazza Milano is located in the central area of Jesolo Lido, reachable by car from the A4 motorway (Noventa di Piave exit) and by bus from Venice Mestre.
When
The event takes place in June, in the evening. In case of bad weather, the meeting will be moved to the Vivaldi Theater, in via del Bersagliere 1.
