Quality street food on wheels returns to Piazza Sandro Pertini
The STREEAT® Food Truck Festival is the first and original Italian traveling festival dedicated to quality street food on wheels. Born in 2014 and inspired by the philosophy of the film Chef – The Perfect Recipe, it travels to over twenty Italian cities each year, bringing young chefs, selected food trucks, and a food and wine culture that combines quality, good music, sociability, and respect for the environment to the squares. In Ancona, the capital of the Marche region, the event has found its home in Piazza Sandro Pertini, in the heart of the city.
For three days, the square transforms into an open-air village of taste, where over fifteen food trucks offer the best of Italian regional cuisines and international specialties. Among the festival's historic offerings: Neapolitan fried pizza, Chianina hamburgers and smash burgers, burritos, tacos and Mexican nachos, Greek pita gyros, vegan Ascolana olives, and numerous desserts. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and lactose-free options are also available to satisfy every need.
The street food is accompanied by a selection of craft beers and an entertainment program that is part of the STREEAT® brand identity: live music and DJ sets liven up the evenings, while during the day there are free workshops, meetings with producers and food artisans dedicated to recipes, history, and traditions of street food. The festival is based on four pillars: the selection of the best operators, good music, conviviality, and environmental awareness with the use of biodegradable materials.
With free admission and a central location, the STREEAT® Food Truck Festival has become, in just a few editions, an anticipated event in Ancona's calendar, attracting families, young people, and street food enthusiasts. The event is organized by Barley Arts, one of Italy's leading music promoters, together with BUONO – Food Events and in collaboration with Alhena Entertainment, confirming a formula that combines gastronomy and entertainment.
The 2nd edition in Ancona of the STREEAT® Food Truck Festival took place in Piazza Sandro Pertini from March 20 to 22, 2026, with hours from 6:00 PM to 1:00 AM on Friday, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 AM on Saturday, and from 11:00 AM to midnight on Sunday.
Over fifteen food trucks offered regional Italian specialties and world cuisines: Neapolitan fried pizza, Chianina burgers and smash burgers, burritos, tacos and Mexican nachos, Greek pita gyros, vegan Ascolana olives, and desserts, with vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and lactose-free options. Craft beers, music, and free workshops with producers and food artisans were also featured.
Friday, March 20: 6:00 PM – 1:00 AM. Saturday, March 21: 11:00 AM – 1:00 AM. Sunday, March 22: 11:00 AM – 12:00 AM. Throughout the event: food trucks with regional and international specialties, craft beers, and free workshops with producers and food artisans.
Piazza Sandro Pertini, in the center of Ancona (Marche). The square is easily reachable on foot from the train station and the main streets of the city center.
By train: Ancona Centrale station, then take a city bus or a short walk to the center. By car: take the Ancona Nord / Ancona Sud (A14) highway exits, with parking available in the areas surrounding the city center.
Free admission. You only pay for what you consume at the food trucks.
