A weekend of gravel in the heart of the Marche
Stradembrecciade Gravel is one of the most beloved cycling tourism events in the province of Ancona: a non-competitive gathering that every June draws hundreds of cycling enthusiasts, mainly from outside the region, to Filottrano, in the Marche. The name itself, playing on the dialectal word for gravel roads (the famous unpaved "strade bianche"), tells the soul of the event: cycling away from asphalt, along the ups and downs of the Marche hills, amidst villages, historic villas, wineries, and farms.
A format for every cyclist
The strength of the event lies in the variety of routes, designed to welcome both the most experienced gravel riders and those who want to experience the territory in complete tranquility. There's the long 240 km bikepacking route with nearly 3,900 meters of elevation gain, reserved for the most independent spirits, but also group rides of 65 and 110 km, and, an inclusive novelty, a family-friendly edition of about twenty kilometers.
The base camp and conviviality
The beating heart of Stradembrecciade is the Area Verde di Cantalupo, a hamlet of Filottrano, where the base camp is set up with services, a catering area, space for tents, and the inevitable post-ride beer. Beyond sport, the event is a community celebration: the Saturday evening music event and guided tours of the town's museums complete a program that combines sport, culture, and local gastronomy.
The MUT circuit
Stradembrecciade is part of the MUT (Marche, Umbria, Tuscany) circuit, the first gravel circuit in Italy that connects three regional events capable of combining cycling with the discovery of the flavors and landscapes of central Italy. Organized by ASD Progetto Gravel, the event has become a benchmark for slow and sustainable cycle tourism in the Marche in just a few editions.
Filottrano, land of cycling
It's no coincidence that Stradembrecciade has found its home in Filottrano, a municipality in the province of Ancona deeply connected to the world of cycling and the memory of local champions. The hills surrounding the town offer ideal terrain for gravel riding, made up of dirt roads, vineyards, and landscapes stretching from the Apennines to the Adriatic Sea.
Stradembrecciade Gravel — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of Stradembrecciade Gravel confirms the non-competitive format that has led to the event's success: cycling for the pleasure of discovering the territory, without a stopwatch. The base camp at Area Verde di Cantalupo, a hamlet of Filottrano (AN), welcomes over 250 participants with catering, a tent area, and all services.
The sporting offering ranges from the 240 km bikepacking route (approx. 3,900 m elevation gain) to group rides on Saturday and Sunday, up to the route dedicated to families. To complete the weekend, there's the Saturday musical evening and the opening of Filottrano's museums. The event is part of the MUT (Marche, Umbria, Tuscany) gravel circuit.

Friday, June 12
- 07:00-07:30 — Departures for Bikepacking (240 km, approx. 3,900 m D+) from the base camp
- Afternoon — Guided tours of Filottrano's museums: Museum of the Battle of Filottrano, Sewing Machine Museum, and Palazzo Barattani
Saturday, June 13
- 06:30-07:00 — Alternative departure for Bikepacking
- Morning — Group rides: long route (approx. 110 km, 1,900 m D+) and short route (approx. 65 km, 1,000 m D+)
- Evening — Musical evening with "Malore Improvviso" at the base camp, beer, and dinner
Sunday, June 14
- Morning — Single group ride (approx. 65 km, 1,000 m D+)
- Morning — Stradembrecciade for families: easy route of about 20 km from Cantalupo to Villa Spada, with refreshment stop
- By 8:00 PM — Expected return for bikepacking participants
Each participant receives the GPX track, the race pack with sponsor products, the post-ride beer, the bike wash service, and the meals included in their package.

How to get there
Filottrano is located in the province of Ancona, in the Marche hinterland. By car, it can be reached from the A14 highway exit Ancona Sud / Loreto, continuing inland; the base camp is at Area Verde di Cantalupo, a hamlet of Filottrano. The nearest train station is Osimo-Castelfidardo, from which you can continue by car.
Registration and fees
Online registration on the official website. 2026 fees (from May 1st to June 7th): bikepacking 55 euros, weekend package 70 euros, daily package 45 euros, with reduced rates for groups of at least 5 people. The fee includes GPX track, race pack with sponsor products, final beer, bike wash, and meals included in the package.
Accommodation
Possibility of overnight stay in tents at the base camp; alternatively, accommodation facilities are available in Filottrano and nearby towns (Osimo, Jesi, Loreto).
