Stra'n'Acqui

A race where solidarity always wins

Stra'n'Acqui is a non-competitive fun run and walk open to everyone, transforming the center of Acqui Terme, in the province of Alessandria (Piedmont), into a lively spring festival. More than just a race, it is a popular charitable event where the goal is not to finish first, but to participate and support a good cause: all proceeds from the event are donated to charity projects, volunteer associations, and schools in Acqui and the surrounding municipalities.

Two courses for all ages

The heart of the event lies in the two routes that wind through the city streets, starting from Piazzale Maggiorino Ferraris:

• a 1.5 km short course, designed for children;
• a 5 km full course for teenagers and adults.

The spirit is one of total freedom: you can run, walk, dress up in costume, participate on a bike or skates, and even bring your four-legged friend along. This slightly "crazy" and festive soul has made Stra'n'Acqui a beloved classic for local families.

Sport, music, and fun

The evening doesn't end with the race. From late afternoon, Piazzale Maggiorino Ferraris comes alive with food stalls and street food, music, entertainment, face painting, and baby dance, creating a festive atmosphere for everyone. After the races, it's time for the awards ceremony, which honors not the fastest runners, but the most creative groups and costumes, the youngest and oldest participants, the largest groups, and those who traveled the furthest.

A charitable appointment for Acqui Terme

Organized by the Spat association, Stra'n'Acqui is now a staple in the event calendar of the Municipality of Acqui Terme. Past editions have attracted hundreds of participants and raised thousands of euros for local projects: a concrete and joyful way to combine sport, community life, and charity in one of Piedmont's most famous spa towns.
