The Irish festival in the medieval village of Grazzano Visconti
In the heart of Val Nure, a few kilometers from Piacenza, the village of Grazzano Visconti, part of the Municipality of Vigolzone, is one of the most characteristic destinations in Emilia-Romagna: a neo-medieval style village commissioned in the early 20th century by the Visconti di Modrone family, with its half-timbered houses, artisan workshops, and wrought-iron signs. It is in this fairytale setting that every March, around St. Patrick's Day, the St. Patrick's Day & Beer Festival comes to life, organized by the Tipico Eventi association.
For two days, the village transforms into a lively meeting point dedicated to conviviality and Irish culture. The streets and squares fill with themed decorations, food and wine stalls, and stands for artisans and hobbyists, while street chefs offer their on-the-road dishes, both sweet and savory, to accompany the many craft beers on tap. There is also a large area with tables where you can sit and enjoy your pint at a leisurely pace.
The program alternates moments for adults and activities for children: from workshops and Irish dance performances to live concerts by cover bands and Celtic folk music groups, as well as shows for children. It is a family-friendly event where brewing tradition blends with Irish folklore in a cheerful and informal atmosphere.
The festival is held in the historic village of Grazzano Visconti, in Vigolzone (PC), with free entry for everyone, no reservation needed. A perfect opportunity to discover one of the most charming villages in the Piacenza area while toasting with a good beer.
