The village festival celebrating the Pro Loco's tenth anniversary in Serravalle di Riva del Po
The Spring Festival is the event that annually welcomes the arrival of the warmer season in Serravalle, the easternmost hamlet of the Municipality of Riva del Po, in the province of Ferrara, in the heart of the Bassa Ferrarese and the Union of Municipalities Terre e Fiumi. The festival takes place at the Public Park on Via Stefano Mongini and is organized by the Pro Loco Serravalle Insieme APS, with the patronage of the Municipality of Riva del Po.
The 2026 edition is particularly important as it coincides with the tenth anniversary of Pro Loco Serravalle Insieme. In ten years, the association has become a reference point for the social and cultural life of the town, animating the area with festivals, initiatives, and gatherings throughout the year. The Spring Festival for the tenth anniversary aims to be a collective celebration, a way to thank volunteers and citizens, and to relaunch the Pro Loco's commitment to the community.
The two days offer a mosaic of activities that blend culture, local traditions, and conviviality. Saturday afternoon opens with a tuning rally accompanied by a refreshment area, while Sunday morning is dedicated to the cultural walk, with meeting point at the public park and routes suitable for everyone, through nature, history, and local traditions. There will also be markets, exhibitors of typical products, and gastronomic moments curated by the Pro Loco chefs, featuring seasonal dishes and specialties of Ferrarese cuisine.
Overlooking the Po River, Serravalle retains the tranquil charm of the Ferrara plain villages, characterized by embankments, countryside, and a strong community identity. Participating in the Spring Festival means experiencing firsthand the authenticity of a genuine village festival, far from the major tourist circuits, where local culture, good food, and community spirit merge into a festive weekend for residents and visitors of Emilia-Romagna.
