When Arquà Polesine Becomes Nerdy
Among the youngest and most original initiatives in Arquà Polesine's calendar, in the province of Rovigo, is the Spring Cosplay Festival. Founded a few years ago and organized by the Pro Loco Arquà Polesine Aps, the event transforms the town into a meeting point for enthusiasts of cosplay, anime, manga, comics, and pop culture.
Cosplay Competition and Cartoon Theme Songs
The program revolves around the cosplay competition, complete with a parade and awards for the best costumes, and the concert of cartoon theme songs, a truly nostalgic moment capable of uniting young and old. Talk shows, themed performances, games, and entertainment complete the day.
Food, Stalls, and Community
In addition to the entertainment, there are plenty of food stands and stalls dedicated to the world of comics and collectibles. An event that shows how even a small town in the Polesine region can capture the passions of new generations while maintaining the community spirit typical of village festivals.
Spring Cosplay Festival — edition 2026
The 3rd edition of the Spring Cosplay Festival will be held on June 14, 2026, in Arquà Polesine, from 7:00 PM. The Pro Loco Arquà Polesine confirms the program dedicated to the nerd world: cosplay competition, concert of cartoon theme songs, talk shows, themed performances, food stands, and stalls.
Programme Spring Cosplay Festival 2026
Program for the 3rd edition (June 14, 2026). Based on previous editions, the typical structure includes:
- From 11:00 AM — "Guess the Theme Song" game
- 2:30 PM — Cosplay parade
- 5:00 PM — Cosplay competition with cartoon theme song concert
- 7:00 PM — Cosplay awards ceremony; opening of food stands and stalls
- 9:30 PM — Evening with live music
