Two days at Parco Mattei celebrating sport, inclusion, and the Olympic spirit
For an entire weekend, Parco Enrico Mattei in San Donato Milanese, in the province of Milan, transforms into the city's main sports hub. The Sport Festival brings together over thirty sports associations from the area, showcasing their disciplines and inviting people of all ages to try them out.
The program blends popular sports—basketball, football, volleyball, athletics—with inclusive and Paralympic sports, the true hallmark of the event. Activities range from savate to qwan ki do, from blind baseball to wheelchair tennis, as well as demonstrations of baskin and Paralympic fencing. The underlying idea is that sport is for everyone: the festival champions inclusion, accessibility, commitment, and sportsmanship.
In recent years, the Sport Festival has aligned its identity with the Olympic and Paralympic spirit, in anticipation of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Games. Initiatives include the presentation of dedicated projects and discussions on the values of sport, with the participation of CONI representatives and Olympic and Paralympic athletes, alongside awards for distinguished associations and athletes.
Promoted by the Municipality of San Donato Milanese, the Sport Festival is primarily a community event: two days where families, young people, and enthusiasts gather in the park to experience sport as an opportunity for connection and growth. This free event highlights the vibrancy of San Donato's sports scene and its commitment to making sport accessible to all.
The 2026 edition of the Sport Festival in San Donato Milanese is scheduled for Saturday June 6 and Sunday June 7 at Parco Enrico Mattei. Confirmed by the Municipality's event calendar, the event brings together over thirty local sports associations.
The program alternates between classic disciplines and inclusive and Paralympic sports—from savate to qwan ki do, from blind baseball to wheelchair tennis—in the spirit of the Olympic and Paralympic values of Milan-Cortina 2026. There will also be opportunities for discussion and awards for the city's sports organizations.
The detailed, hour-by-hour program will be published by the Municipality of San Donato Milanese in the weeks leading up to the event.
