Three days of guitar music featuring concerts, workshops, and a fair in the medieval village
Since 2001, the Soave Guitar Festival has been one of the most beloved events for guitar enthusiasts in Italy. Every spring, the medieval village of Soave, in the province of Verona, hosts internationally renowned guitarists for a weekend of concerts, workshops, and gatherings centered around the instrument. The festival is dedicated to the memory of Marcel Dadi, a fingerstyle legend who passed away in 1996.
The festival unfolds on multiple levels: evening concerts in the Rocca Sveva Winery Auditorium, workshops led by guest masters in the Church of Santa Maria del Monte, and the guitar fair featuring collectible instruments and exhibitors at the Palazzo del Capitano. Diverse genres share the same stage: fingerstyle, gypsy jazz in the style of Django Reinhardt, flamenco, acoustic rock, and original compositions.
The 2026 edition marks the twenty-fifth and, according to the organizers, the last: after a quarter of a century, the Soave Guitar Festival will close permanently. This is one more reason to experience the village of Soave, within its Scaliger walls and surrounded by the vineyards of Soave DOC, during this weekend of music.
