Peasant traditions and flavors of the Sibillini Mountains in Amandola
In the unspoiled landscape of the upper Fermo Apennines, the Sibillini Agricultural Fair brings peasant culture back to the forefront, which has shaped the territory of Amandola for centuries. Amandola is a village in the Province of Fermo and the gateway to the Marche side of the Sibillini Mountains National Park. Founded in 2025, the event is promoted by the Municipality of Amandola together with the Pro Loco and the main agricultural sector associations, with the aim of enhancing the products, crafts, and rural traditions of the Sibillini.
The fair transforms the exhibition area into a large showcase of mountain agriculture. Among the events that characterize the fair are:
The Sibillini Agricultural Fair is part of the "Sibillini Romantici" promotion project and represents an opportunity to discover Amandola and its hinterland, including the Museum of the Landscape, the Park trails, and the historic tradition of the prized black truffle. The event is also designed for families, with activities for children, and remains an unmissable event for lovers of the agricultural world, peasant traditions, and genuine products from the Marche region.
The 2nd Sibillini Agricultural Fair was held from May 22 to 24, 2026, in Amandola, in the new exhibition area of Pian di Contro. Promoted by the Municipality of Amandola in collaboration with Coldiretti, Copagri, CNA, and AMAP, the 2026 edition expanded the inaugural formula by introducing an exhibition of farm animals, alongside the display of agricultural machinery and typical local products.
The fair was part of the "Sibillini Romantici" valorization project and brought enthusiasts, producers, and visitors back to Amandola to celebrate the peasant culture of the upper Fermo Apennines.
The fair takes place in Amandola (Province of Fermo, Marche), in the Pian di Contro area. The inaugural edition in 2025 was held in Piazzale Togliatti, in the town center.
By car: Amandola is accessible from the SS210 and the provincial roads of the Tenna Valley; it is about an hour from the A14 highway exits (Pedaso or Porto San Giorgio-Fermo). The nearest train station is Pedaso or Porto San Giorgio, from which you can continue with bus connections.
The event is traditionally held in May, over a weekend.
Admission to the fair is free. For updated times and the detailed program, it is advisable to consult the channels of the Municipality of Amandola and the Pro Loco.
