Confirmation of a winning formula

After its 2024 debut, in 2025 the Sheep Festival in Frasso Sabino moved from a single day to a full weekend, June 7 and 8, still in the Osteria Nuova Market Area. The choice to move the event to mid-summer allowed for longer evenings and better use of the outdoor spaces.

The menu developed by the Pro Loco expanded the offering compared to the previous year: the essential gnocchi al castrato were joined by arrosticini and boiled mutton, with beer and chips to accompany the main courses and satisfy even the youngest guests.

Alongside the dining, the program offered guided tours of the Grotta dei Massacci, a food education workshop, a live cheese-making demonstration, and musical entertainment provided by the Stornellatori, who brought the repertoire of Sabina folk tradition back to the square. An edition that consolidated the bond between the event and the province of Rieti territory.
