The Patrons of Ponte San Pietro
In Ponte San Pietro, an important center of the Isola Bergamasca in the province of Bergamo, the festival of the patron saints Saints Peter and Paul (June 29th) is the most anticipated event of the year. The event combines the religious dimension with a rich program of civil events that liven up the village overlooking the Brembo river.
The Village Celebrates
From the late afternoon of June 29th, the historic center is closed to traffic and transformed into a pedestrian zone: shops open, music, shows, exhibitions, and food stalls. The town band offers concerts with brass and percussion along Via Vittorio Emanuele, while other squares host live concerts and DJ sets.
Between Fireworks and Traditions
The program includes activities for children with a play area, street artists, amusement park rides in Piazza della Libertà, and the original bell tower climb organized by the CAI (Italian Alpine Club). The most anticipated moment is the evening fireworks display, with the fireworks reflected on the river waters. A festival that enhances the identity of Ponte San Pietro and the Isola Bergamasca, amidst faith, folklore, and social life.

The 2026 edition of the patron saint festival takes place on June 28th and 29th in Ponte San Pietro. On June 28th, a solemn mass is scheduled in the Chiesa Nuova with priests originating from or connected to the parish, followed by a convivial dinner in the oratory and the ascent of the bell tower, one of the tallest in Italy. On June 29th, from 7:00 PM, the historic center becomes a pedestrian zone with music, shows, exhibitions, and food stalls, culminating in the grand evening fireworks display.

- 6:00 PM — Solemn mass in Chiesa Nuova, followed by dinner in the oratory.

- Concerts by the town band (brass and percussion) on Via Vittorio Emanuele; Temi Pop Band on Via Roma, and DJ set at Palazzo Moiana.
- Children's area, street artists, bell tower climb (CAI), and amusement park in Piazza della Libertà.
- 10:30 PM — Fireworks display on the river.
