Selci Wild Boar Festival

The festival's debut, May 17, 2025

On Saturday, May 17, 2025, Selci hosted the Selci Wild Boar Festival for the first time, organized by the Pro Loco in the parking area below Piazza del Popolo. From 7:00 PM until late in the evening, the small village in lower Sabina, in the province of Rieti, transformed into a large open-air restaurant, with wild boar served in various ways: stewed, grilled, with pasta, or as a main course, always accompanied by local wines.

The evening was enlivened by the folk group Gli Stornellatori, with traditional Roman songs and stornelli. The success of this first edition convinced the Pro Loco Selci Futura APS to repeat the event, creating a new village tradition destined to grow over the years.

From 7:00 PM: wild boar in various preparations (stewed, grilled, with pasta, and as a main course), local wines, and live music with the folk group Gli Stornellatori.
