The six-hour ultramarathon in the historic center of Serra de' Conti
The Sei Ore de' Conti is one of the most characteristic ultramarathons in the Marche region: an endurance race where the goal is not to finish first, but to cover the greatest distance possible in six hours of running. The event takes place in the historic center of Serra de' Conti, a small village in the Province of Ancona, and starts from Piazza Gramsci. It is organized by A.S.D. Podistica Valmisa and is named in memory of Sergio Titti, the historic president who conceived it together with sports director Franco Draicchio.
Unlike traditional "track" races, the Sei Ore de' Conti adopts the No Stadia formula: athletes run on a city circuit of 1,609.35 meters (exactly one mile), entirely closed to traffic and illuminated for the night hours. The circuit winds through the village streets and offers a suggestive scenery when darkness falls and participants continue to rack up laps under the lights. The race is recognized nationally and has obtained the Bronze Label Race from the IAU, as well as being part of the IUTA circuit (Italian Ultramarathon and Trail Association).
Beyond the sporting dimension, the Sei Ore de' Conti is a village festival: the aid stations, the support, the cheers of the locals along the circuit, and the final conviviality are as much a part of the experience as the effort. The race records show top-level performances, with over 82 kilometers covered in the men's category and over 75 in the women's. It is an event eagerly awaited by runners from dozens of clubs in the Marche, Umbria, and Emilia-Romagna regions, in a village that for an entire evening lives to the rhythm of the athletes' footsteps.
The 11th edition of the Sei Ore de' Conti, announced as the final edition of the event, will take place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, in the historic center of Serra de' Conti. Confirmed by the official regulations and the FIDAL/IUTA calendar, it is dedicated to the memory of Sergio Titti and organized by A.S.D. Podistica Valmisa, with Silvano Baldarelli as president and Franco Draicchio as organizational manager. The race maintains its Bronze Label Race certification from the IAU.
Along the route, two refreshment points will be set up with single-serving drinks and food, as well as an area for personal refreshments. Medical services with a doctor and ambulance will be provided. Chip timing is managed by Dream Runners Perugia, with real-time rankings on www.icron.it.
Start and finish in Piazza Gramsci, historic center of Serra de' Conti (AN), Marche. One-mile circuit closed to traffic in the village streets.
The event is held in the summer, typically in early July, starting in the late afternoon and continuing until night.
Race open to FIDAL members and RUNCARD holders, with a valid competitive medical certificate. Online registration or via email to [email protected]. Registration on the day of the race is not permitted.
