The Sea Music Festival is the major summer music showcase in Sottomarina di Chioggia, on the coast of the Metropolitan City of Venice. It takes place on the Isola dell'Unione, a picturesque location overlooking the Adriatic, and every August transforms the seaside resort into the capital of live music and clubbing.
A lineup mixing dance, pop, and big names
Organised by the cooperative Mareadentro, the festival offers a diverse lineup: international DJ sets, dance nights, pop concerts, and stars from the Italian scene. Past editions have hosted artists of the calibre of Steve Aoki, Burning Spear, and Edoardo Bennato, confirming the event's international scope.
Attracting tens of thousands of people
With over 70,000 attendees recorded in the 2025 edition over ten days, the Sea Music Festival is one of the most crowded events of the Venetian summer, capable of attracting audiences from all over the Veneto region and beyond. The highlight is the Ferragosto evening, with traditional fireworks over the sea.
Sea Music Festival — edition 2026
The Sea Music Festival 2026 is confirmed from August 13 to 23 on the Isola dell'Unione in Sottomarina di Chioggia. Ten days of live music and DJ sets overlooking the Adriatic Sea, with doors opening at 7 PM and concerts starting at 9 PM.
Among the artists announced for 2026 are Radio Piterpan, Artie 5ive, a night dedicated to K-Pop Demon Hunters, Planet Funk, and the Teenage Dream Party. On August 14, for the pre-Ferragosto celebration, fireworks are scheduled at 11:30 PM.

How to get there
Sottomarina di Chioggia is reachable by car via the SS309 Romea. By train to Venice or Rovigo, then by bus. The Isola dell'Unione is located in the heart of the seaside resort.
