The closing event of "I Giorni dei Gogìs" in Val Brembana
In Piazza Brembana, in the province of Bergamo, autumn is celebrated at the table with Sapori d'Autunno, the day that concludes the "I Giorni dei Gogìs" review. This food and wine circuit connects the main gastronomic events of the municipalities in the upper valley — Averara, Moio de' Calvi, Valnegra, Cusio and Piazza Brembana itself — in a shared calendar that promotes the region's products and producers.
For one Sunday, the town centre comes alive with stalls and stands dedicated to typical products and local crafts. It is the ideal opportunity for the farms and hobbyists of Val Brembana to gain recognition, and for visitors to buy specialities directly from producers in a valley that makes short, mountain-based supply chains its strong point.
The symbolic dessert of the event is the "Brembana dei Gogìs", a preparation that tells the story of the region through its ingredients: the Orobico Native Corn from Val Brembana, Topaz apples, and a filling of apricots and walnuts. A product designed to give the review a recognisable identity and to further link the festival to the authentic flavours of the valley.
Sapori d'Autunno is organised by the Municipality of Piazza Brembana in collaboration with the Pro Loco and the youth group "Piazza x Töcc", with the support of the Lombardy Region and the patronage of Altobrembo Valle Brembana. An event that, in addition to celebrating food, strengthens the sense of community and collaboration among the villages of upper Val Brembana.
The 2026 edition of Sapori d'Autunno is confirmed for Sunday, November 9, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, in the centre of Piazza Brembana. Organised by the Municipality with the Pro Loco and the youth group "Piazza x Töcc", with the support of the Lombardy Region and the patronage of Altobrembo Valle Brembana, the day concludes the "I Giorni dei Gogìs" review. Among the new features, the official debut of the "Brembana dei Gogìs", a dessert made with Orobico Native Corn, Topaz apples, and a filling of apricots and walnuts.
Piazza Brembana can be reached from Bergamo along the SS470 of Val Brembana heading north. It is one of the main centres of the upper valley.
The event takes place on a Sunday in November, from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, in the town centre.
