Onore's End-of-Summer Festival

The Sant'Antòne Fest is the end-of-summer barbecue of the small Municipality of Onore, in the upper Val Seriana, Bergamo province. It takes place at Parco Sant'Antonio and is organized by Pro Loco Vivere Onore, the association that enlivens the village's life with events throughout the year.

From a Barbecue Among Friends to a Village Event

The festival was born almost by chance, from a group of friends who used to gather for barbecues, and over the years it has transformed into an event that grows in participation. However, the spirit remains that of its origins: conviviality, local products, and folk music, in a family atmosphere that is the hallmark of Onore.

Local Cuisine and Zero-Km Products

The star is barbecue cuisine: strinù (a typical Brescia and Bergamo sausage), arrosticini, sandwiches, piadine (flatbreads), platters of cured meats, and on Sundays, barbecued meats accompanied by polenta and French fries. Many products are zero-km, highlighting the connection with the local agriculture of the Presolana plateau.

Music and Socializing

The evenings are marked by live music — bands playing great hits and DJ sets until late at night — while on Sunday afternoons, the festival concludes in traditional style with folk music by accordionists. A simple and proven formula, which makes the Sant'Antòne Fest one of the most cherished moments of Onore's summer calendar. The Pro Loco also offers a winter version, the "Sant'Antòne Fest… al frècc" (Sant'Antòne Fest… in the cold), around the feast day of Saint Anthony Abbot in January.
