In Bertipaglia, a hamlet of Maserà di Padova in the province of Padua, the Sagra di San Mariano is the event of the year. In 2026, it reaches the prestigious milestone of its 40th edition, confirming itself as one of the longest-running and most attended village festivals in the Padua area, capable of drawing audiences from all over the region to Piazza Bertipaglia.

The realm of great orchestras

What makes the Sagra di San Mariano special is its dedication to ballroom dancing and great show orchestras: every evening the dance floor fills to the rhythm of the best bands in the genre, featuring well-known national names like Lara Agostini, Mauro Levrini, and Rossella Ferrari. Admission is free, in keeping with the popular spirit of the festival.

Gastronomy, charity, and fun

Alongside the music, the festival offers a food stand with traditional Venetian cuisine, open from 7 PM, a charity raffle, and a funfair for families. Organized by the Parish of Bertipaglia, the event celebrates San Mariano and culminates in the Gran Galà delle Orchestre, a special evening event that in 2026 marks forty years of a festival deeply rooted in the community.
