About San Luca Festival

In May, the hamlet of Torri di Arcugnano, in the Berici Hills, dedicates its festival to a unique ingredient: the pioppino mushroom grown in caves. The San Luca Festival, now in its 37th edition, offers a rich and imaginative gastronomic stand, from bigoli with ragù to duck gnocchi, spicy horse stew to grilled meats, and the new double spit-roast for the 2026 edition. A village festival that combines flavors, music, and community.

The festival of cave-grown pioppini mushrooms

The San Luca Festival takes place in Torri di Arcugnano, a hamlet in the municipality of Arcugnano, in the province of Vicenza, in the heart of the Berici Hills. Its unique feature is the celebration of the cave-grown pioppino mushroom, a mushroom cultivated in natural cavities in the area, a true gastronomic excellence of the territory. For this reason, the event is also known as the Festival of Cave-Grown Pioppini Mushrooms.

A table in the Berici Hills

The gastronomic stand, open every evening from 7 PM, offers a varied menu rooted in Vicenza tradition: cave-grown pioppini mushrooms featured in numerous dishes, bigoli with ragù, duck gnocchi, spicy horse stew, and grilled meats. Takeaway service is also available, along with a menu designed for children.

Music and festive evenings

The evenings combine good food with music and dancing, along with a charity raffle and entertainment. Among the new features for the 2026 edition is the double spit-roast: two events dedicated to spit-roasting, a symbol of Venetian grilled meat cuisine.

Between Vicenza and the Berici Hills

Torri di Arcugnano is one of the hamlets that make up the widespread municipality of Arcugnano, nestled in the landscape of the Berici Hills just a few kilometers from Vicenza. The San Luca Festival is an opportunity to discover this corner of the Vicenza area and its gastronomy, originally linked to the natural environment of the territory.
