The San Gottardo Festival takes place in early May in the hamlet of San Gottardo di Zovencedo, a small municipality in the Berici Hills in the province of Vicenza. It is organized by the Parish of San Gottardo together with the Alpini, the Municipality, and the Pro Loco Alti Berici, and is held indoors at the sports facilities.
The heart of the festival is the food stand, open every evening from 7:00 PM, featuring the specialty that makes it famous: dishes based on roe deer, accompanied by sauces and fresh pasta prepared by the cooks. A rich four-day program revolves around the kitchen, combining motor rallies (Vespa and vintage cars), musical evenings with DJs, children's games, a community lunch, a trail run, and a cabaret evening.
It is a lively and well-organized village festival, capable of attracting visitors from all over the province of Vicenza, who combine the pleasure of good food with the discovery of the Berici Hills landscape.
