About San Fermo Festival

In August, the small hamlet of San Fermo, in the Municipality of Redondesco, celebrates its patron saint with five evenings of music in the green area next to the parish oratory. The festival has two souls: the traditional dance area and the youth area with DJs. In the kitchen, traditional Mantuan dishes, from pumpkin tortelli to pike in sauce. A village festival organized by the Friends of San Fermo.

The San Fermo Festival

The San Fermo Festival is the celebration of the San Fermo hamlet, in the Municipality of Redondesco, in the province of Mantua. It takes place in August, around the feast day of San Fermo (August 9th), in the green area adjacent to the parish oratory, and is organized by the association Amici di San Fermo together with the ANSPI of the oratory.

Two Souls, One Festival

The event features five evenings of music divided into two zones: a dance area dedicated to traditional music and ballroom dancing, and a youth area hosted by DJs. A formula that manages to bring together different generations and keep the festival of a small but very active hamlet alive.

Mantuan Cuisine

The food stand offers the great classics of local tradition: pumpkin tortelli, risotto, grilled meats, fried chicken, and pike in sauce. The San Fermo Festival is a fine example of the vitality of the small communities in the Mantuan plain, capable of animating the summer of the Redondesco area with music, food, and village spirit.

San Fermo Festival — edition 2026

The San Fermo Festival returns in August 2026 to the San Fermo hamlet of Redondesco, with five evenings of music in the green area of the oratory, the traditional dance area, the youth area with DJs, and Mantuan cuisine. The exact dates and program will be published by the Friends of San Fermo in the weeks preceding the event.

For 2026, the Friends of San Fermo are once again organizing the San Fermo Festival in August, around the saint's feast day (August 9th), in the green area of the parish oratory in the San Fermo hamlet (Redondesco, MN). The formula remains the same: five evenings of music divided between the traditional dance area and the youth area with DJs, and the food stand with traditional Mantuan dishes.
