The patronal feast of San Donato in the Calvecchia hamlet
The San Donato Festival takes place in the hamlet of Calvecchia, part of the territory of San Donà di Piave, in the province of Venice. It is dedicated to Saint Donatus of Arezzo, bishop and martyr, patron saint of the city of San Donà, which also gives its name to the municipality itself. The festival in the hamlet is traditionally held during the summer.
The heart of the festival is the gastronomic stand, open every evening from 7:00 PM with traditional Venetian dishes. The evenings continue with DJ sets and dancing entertainment, making the festival a gathering place for the community of Calvecchia and for the people of San Donà.
The festival combines the religious aspect, linked to devotion to Saint Donatus, with the popular celebration. An event that testifies to the deep bond between the hamlet, its patron saint, and the identity of eastern Veneto.
In 2026, the hamlet of Calvecchia will once again celebrate its patronal feast dedicated to Saint Donatus, during the summer period. As per tradition, every evening the gastronomic stand opens from 7:00 PM with typical Venetian dishes, while the evenings continue with DJ sets and dancing entertainment. The precise dates will be announced by the committee in the weeks prior.
The detailed program for the 2026 edition will be published by the committee. Based on recent editions, the evening structure includes:
Calvecchia hamlet, San Donà di Piave (VE).
During the summer (July). Gastronomic stand every evening from 7:00 PM, dancing evenings with DJs.
Free; paid consumption at the gastronomic stand.
