The San Demetrio ne' Vestini Beer Festival is a celebration of craft beer that brings the small town of San Demetrio ne' Vestini, in the province of L'Aquila, to life every July in the heart of the Aterno Valley. Established in 2022 by the Looppolo Cultural Association and organized with the patronage of the Municipality, the event has quickly become one of the most anticipated brewing gatherings in the Abruzzo hinterland, attracting enthusiasts and curious visitors from across the province and beyond.

Craft beer takes center stage

The festival focuses on craft breweries from Abruzzo and across Italy, alongside classic German and Czech productions. At the taps, you can sample styles for every palate: from crisp Helles lagers, pilsners, weissbiers, and blanches to more aromatic IPAs and APAs, as well as full-bodied stouts, bocks, golden ales, and great Belgian classics like dubbels, tripels, and saisons. There are also gluten-free options available for those seeking alternatives without compromising on quality.

Music, food trucks, and conviviality

Beyond the beer, the Beer Festival is, above all, a community celebration. From early evening until late at night, the event features live concerts by talented bands and DJ sets that set the mood. The "Lamberto Sollazzi" Music Park

The event takes place at the "Lamberto Sollazzi" Music Park on Via Madonna dei Raccomandati, a green and well-equipped space that provides a spacious setting for summer evenings. In its early editions, the festival was held in Piazza Garibaldi in the town center before finding its natural home in the park, which is perfectly suited to accommodate the public, stage, and dining areas.
