The festival in Salieri's homeland
The Salieri Festival was born in Legnago, in the Lower Veronese region, the city that gave birth in 1750 to Antonio Salieri, one of the protagonists of the 18th-century Viennese musical scene and today increasingly rediscovered as a central figure in European musical history. The event, promoted by the Antonio Salieri Cultural Foundation, intertwines the composer's legacy with a program that spans epochs and genres.
From baroque to great music
The program is divided into concerts held in the city's main venues: the Salieri Theatre, the Raffaello Riello Hall, and the Duomo. It ranges from the baroque repertoire of Bach, Telemann, Händel, and Galuppi, to symphonic and chamber works by Beethoven, Liszt, and Schubert, up to arias by Salieri and Mozart and evenings that engage with pop and film music.

More than just a concert season, the Salieri Festival is Legnago's (province of Verona) way of preserving and reviving the memory of its composer, offering the region an occasion for high-quality music and cultural enhancement.

The 2026 season unfolds between May and June, with concerts at the Salieri Theatre, Raffaello Riello Hall, and the Duomo. A journey from baroque to symphonic, up to tributes to Salieri and Mozart, promoted by the Antonio Salieri Cultural Foundation.

Monday, May 4 — Inaugural Concert (Salieri Theatre)
- Orchestra Ritmico Sinfonica Italiana conducted by Diego Basso, with Claudia Sasso — works by Salieri, Morricone, Rota, Battisti, and Battiato
Thursday, May 7 — Tribute to Salieri and Mozart (Legnago Duomo, 6:45 PM, free admission)
- Soprano Anna Maria Di Filippo, organist Antonio Camponogara, and ABC Readers — arias from "La scuola dei gelosi", "Les Danaïdes", "Axur, Re di Ormus" and organ fantasies and Mozart's "Laudate Dominum"

How to get there
The Salieri Theatre is located at Via XX Settembre 26, in the center of Legnago, reachable from the SR434 Transpolesana and the train station on the Verona-Rovigo line.
Tickets
Concerts take place at the Salieri Theatre, Riello Hall, and other city venues. Some events, such as concerts in churches, are free admission; for others, please refer to the Salieri Theatre ticket office.
