About Salieri Festival

Legnago, the birthplace of Antonio Salieri, dedicates a musical festival to its most illustrious composer, spanning the spring with concerts at the Salieri Theatre, the Riello Hall, and in the city's churches. From the baroque of Bach and Telemann to symphonic masterpieces, from Salieri and Mozart arias to pop tributes, the event rediscovers the Veronese musician and presents him to an audience of enthusiasts and the curious.

The festival in Salieri's homeland

The Salieri Festival was born in Legnago, in the Lower Veronese region, the city that gave birth in 1750 to Antonio Salieri, one of the protagonists of the 18th-century Viennese musical scene and today increasingly rediscovered as a central figure in European musical history. The event, promoted by the Antonio Salieri Cultural Foundation, intertwines the composer's legacy with a program that spans epochs and genres.

From baroque to great music

The program is divided into concerts held in the city's main venues: the Salieri Theatre, the Raffaello Riello Hall, and the Duomo. It ranges from the baroque repertoire of Bach, Telemann, Hรคndel, and Galuppi, to symphonic and chamber works by Beethoven, Liszt, and Schubert, up to arias by Salieri and Mozart and evenings that engage with pop and film music.

A city rediscovering its musician

More than just a concert season, the Salieri Festival is Legnago's (province of Verona) way of preserving and reviving the memory of its composer, offering the region an occasion for high-quality music and cultural enhancement.
