Sala Bolognese Fair

A village festival spanning decades

The Sala Bolognese Fair is one of the most cherished summer festivals in the plain northwest of Bologna. Reaching its 39th edition in 2026, the event takes place every year in June in the hamlet of Padulle, the heart of the Municipality of Sala Bolognese, and for five days it attracts families, curious visitors, and lovers of music and good food from all over the surrounding area.

Organized with passion by the Pro Loco Sala Bolognese (an association active in the area since 1981), the Fair is a classic example of an Emilia-Romagna village festival: food stalls with traditional dishes, evenings on the main stage, markets, rides for the little ones, and the unmissable fireworks display that concludes the event.

What to expect

The focal point of the event is the main stage, where musical tributes, dance nights, ballroom orchestras, and comedy acts alternate each evening. Particularly popular is the Bulgnìs Show, the performance that features big names in Bolognese dialect comedy, and the "Moda Fiera" fashion show that precedes the grand finale.

Admission to the Fair area and shows is free, in true village festival style, with food and drinks available for purchase at the stalls.
