Sandrà Celebrates
The Saint Louis Festival and the Districts' Palio liven up the hamlet of Sandrà at the end of August. Located in the municipality of Castelnuovo del Garda, in the province of Verona, it's nestled in the hinterland of Lake Garda. These are two distinct yet intertwined events that, taking place on the same days and in the same locations, create a grand end-of-summer village festival.
The 'Amici per Sandrà' Festival
The Saint Louis Festival is managed by the 'Amici per Sandrà' association (Via Pastrengo 78). It features music, games, and very well-stocked food stalls on festival evenings, opening in the evening with free admission.
The Districts' Challenge
In parallel, the Parish of Sant'Andrea Apostolo organizes the Districts' Palio, now in its 17th edition. The procession of the districts and the races between the village neighborhoods in Piazza Sant'Andrea are the most anticipated moments, fostering community spirit and healthy competition. It's a celebration that showcases Sandrà's identity and the vibrancy of this small Garda village.
Saint Louis Festival in Sandrà — edition 2026
The 2026 edition brings together the Saint Louis Festival (August 23-26) and the XVII Districts' Palio (August 22-26) in the hamlet of Sandrà. The festival, managed by 'Amici per Sandrà', offers music, games, and food stalls; the Palio, organized by the Parish of Sant'Andrea Apostolo, features the procession and races between the village districts in the square.

How to Get There
Sandrà is a hamlet of Castelnuovo del Garda, located in the hinterland on the Veronese side of Lake Garda. By car: take the A4 motorway, exit at Peschiera del Garda or Sommacampagna, then follow signs for Sandrà.
