The traditional spring fair in the historic center of Montegranaro
The Saint Joseph's Fair is one of the most deeply rooted events in the calendar of Montegranaro, in the heart of the province of Fermo, in the Marche region. Linked to the feast day of the patron saint of carpenters and fathers, celebrated on March 19th, the fair is held on the closest Sunday and symbolically marks the beginning of spring: for an entire day, the city center transforms into a large outdoor festival space, with a return of colors, scents, and traditions that attract visitors from all over the region.
From early morning until evening, the streets and squares of the historic center host about a hundred stalls of all kinds. Alongside the traveling market, there are stalls of creative crafts, hobbies, and gift items, stands of typical products, and local associations. The food and wine route is one of the main attractions: food stalls offer local specialties, while the Campagna Amica market allows visitors to purchase agricultural excellences directly from local producers.
The fair is not just about shopping and food. Among the most appreciated attractions is the vintage car exhibition, which attracts enthusiasts and the curious every year. For families, there is a rich program dedicated to children, with games, inflatables, and recreational activities in the afternoon. Don't miss the extraordinary opening of the Civic Tower of the Annunciation, managed by the Cittร Vecchia association, which allows visitors to climb up and admire the panorama of the Marche hills and the historic village.
Known worldwide as one of Italy's quality footwear districts, Montegranaro boasts a compact and charming historic center, perched on the hills between the Chienti and Tenna valleys. The Saint Joseph's Fair represents a moment of meeting, territorial enhancement, and rediscovery of local roots for the Municipality, capable of combining the commercial dimension with a more authentic popular and family-oriented atmosphere.
Promoted by the Commerce Service of the Municipality of Montegranaro, the fair has free admission and appeals to a wide audience: families with children, craft enthusiasts, lovers of Marche flavors, and the simply curious looking for a spring stroll through the village streets. A day that combines tradition, taste, and community.
