About Saint Bartholomew Festival

At the end of August, Puos d'Alpago celebrates its patron saint, Saint Bartholomew, remembered on August 24th. For one or two weekends, the village comes alive with the festival organized by the Pro Loco: typical gastronomy of the Belluno tradition, music, and dancing accompany evenings of celebration in the heart of the Alpago basin. A popular event that closes the summer at the foot of the Venetian Prealps, between Lake Santa Croce and the Cansiglio woods.

The Feast of Saint Bartholomew

The Saint Bartholomew Festival is the patronal feast of Puos d'Alpago, the main fraction of the Municipality of Alpago, in the province of Belluno. It takes place at the end of August, around the commemoration of the saint celebrated on August 24th, and can extend over one or two weekends.

Gastronomy, Music, and Dancing

The event, curated by the Pro Loco Puos d'Alpago, revolves around the gastronomic stand with local cuisine specialties, accompanied by evenings of music and dancing. It is a community celebration that attracts residents and visitors, in a convivial atmosphere typical of Venetian village festivals.

In the Heart of Alpago

Puos d'Alpago is one of the main centers of the Alpago basin, a mountain land overlooking Lake Santa Croce and a stone's throw from the Cansiglio plateau. The late summer festival is an opportunity to experience the authenticity of this corner of Belluno, where patronal traditions remain a reference point in the local calendar.
