Sagra te la Fucazza

The 2025 edition of the Sagra te la Fucazza confirmed the great popular appeal of the event in Lequile, in the Salento region of Lecce. As per tradition, the square behind the Madonna della Consolazione parish church came alive with food stalls dedicated to fucazza, the local focaccia offered in its numerous stuffed variations.

Alongside the focaccia, visitors were able to taste typical Salento dishes: pezzetti di cavallo alla pignata, pittule, and local products, accompanied by wine and beer. There was no shortage of the competition for the tastiest and most original focaccia, the highlight of the festival, nor the live music that enlivened the evenings.

Organized by the Pro Loco of Lequile with the Sagra te la Fucazza Association, the event represented one of the last major gastronomic appointments of the Salento summer, attracting visitors from Lecce and neighboring towns.
