Sagra do' Sciusciello Festival

The 36th edition

From August 10th to 16th, 2025, Pellezzano hosted the 36th edition of the Sagra do' Sciusciello, confirming the historic appointment during the week of Ferragosto in Piazza Giuseppe Di Vittorio. Stalls opened every evening around 8:00 PM, with wood-fired ovens working in front of the public.

The menu revolved around the sciusciello in its various forms: the traditional version with lard and pepper, fillings with pancetta and cheese, sausage and potatoes, and sweet variants. A novelty, highlighted by the Italian Celiac Association of Campania, was the availability of a gluten-free version.

Every evening was accompanied by music, dancing, and entertainment in the square. The municipal administration emphasized the value of the festival as a moment of unity, culture, and memory for the community of Pellezzano and the entire Irno Valley, in the province of Salerno.
