The Sagra di San Rocco takes place every year in mid-August in the hamlet of Forette in Vigasio, province of Verona. With over fifty years of history, it is one of the most established summer festivals in the Bassa veronese, capable of attracting residents and many visitors from neighboring municipalities to Piazza Unità d'Italia.
Six evenings of music and taste
The program is spread over six evenings, from Wednesday to Monday around August 16th, the day of San Rocco. The food stand offers specialties of the Veronese tradition, while the stage hosts musical evenings, country dancing, and entertainment shows. Among the most characteristic events are the Forettefestival singing competition, for those over 16, and "Ti canto una canzone", dedicated to those under 16.
The Comitato per Forette San Martino
The festival is organized by the Comitato per Forette San Martino (Committee for Forette San Martino), which manages the entire event and uses the proceeds to support the hamlet's activities. The festival combines the religious dimension linked to San Rocco with popular conviviality, in a format that enhances the community of Forette and the territory of Vigasio.
