About Sagra della Valle

The Sagra della Valle is one of the longest-running festivals in Montecchio Maggiore, hosted by the parish of Santa Maria Immacolata of the Giuseppini Fathers. For several days in early September, the food stand, ballroom dancing every evening, exhibitions, a charity raffle, and a Fiat 500 gathering liven up the parish grounds on Via Murialdo. A free-entry community festival, rooted in the tradition of Western Vicenza.

A historic festival in Montecchio Maggiore

The Sagra della Valle is a long-standing event in Montecchio Maggiore (Vicenza), now in its forty-seventh edition. It takes place on the grounds of the parish of Santa Maria Immacolata, run by the Giuseppini Fathers, on Via Leonardo Murialdo, in early September.

Food, dancing, and community

The heart of the festival is the food stand, open every evening from 7:00 PM, accompanied by ballroom dancing with different orchestras each night. The program is enriched by exhibitions—including an art exhibition by the Gruppo Beato Angelico and a mycology exhibition—a charity raffle, and, on the last day, the characteristic gathering of Fiat 500s with bouncy castles for children.

The spirit of the Giuseppini Fathers

Organized by the parish community, the Sagra della Valle combines the dimension of a popular festival with the associative and solidarity aspect that characterizes the work of the Giuseppini Fathers in Montecchio Maggiore. Admission is free, and the atmosphere is that of a convivial end-of-summer Venetian festival.

Sagra della Valle — edition 2026

For 2026, the 48th edition of the Sagra della Valle is expected, traditionally on the first weekend of September, at the Giuseppini Fathers in Montecchio Maggiore. Food stand every evening, ballroom dancing with orchestras, exhibitions, charity raffle, and Fiat 500 gathering. Precise dates to be confirmed.

Following the previous editions, the Sagra della Valle is expected again in 2026, usually around the first weekend of September, on the parish grounds of the Giuseppini Fathers. The food stand, evening ballroom dancing, exhibitions, and the Fiat 500 gathering will return. The precise dates for the 2026 edition have not yet been published.
