The patronal festival of Bastia di Rovolon
The Sagra della Madonna della Neve is the patronal festival of the hamlet of Bastia di Rovolon, in the Euganean Hills near Padova. It takes place at the beginning of August, coinciding with the feast day of the Madonna della Neve (August 5th), and attracts residents and visitors from all over the area.
The heart of the festival is Piazza Marconi, where every evening, starting from 7 PM, the stands of traditional Venetian gastronomy open. The evenings are accompanied by live music and DJ sets, with dancing and entertainment, while there is also animation for the little ones.
The event is organized by the parish of Santa Maria della Neve in collaboration with the youth group BGs - Bastia Giovane, and is entirely run by local volunteers. Between gastronomy, music, and socialising, the festival represents one of the most cherished community gatherings of the summer in Bastia di Rovolon.
Set in a village in the Euganean Hills, the festival is also an opportunity to discover this corner of the Padovano area, with its hilly landscape, traditions, and local cuisine.
